The DJI DL PZ 17-28mm T3.0 ASPH Lens is a professional full-frame cinema zoom lens designed for the DJI Ronin 4D platform. Covering an ultra-wide 17mm to wide-angle 28mm focal range, it provides flexible framing for cinematic productions, landscapes, architecture, interiors, documentaries and dynamic handheld or gimbal shooting.

Ultra-Wide 17-28mm Zoom Range

The 17-28mm focal range provides a versatile perspective for professional filmmaking. At 17mm, the lens offers an ultra-wide field of view that is useful for landscapes, architecture, interiors and establishing shots. At 28mm, it provides a more natural wide-angle perspective suitable for subjects, scenes and general cinematic coverage.

Constant T3.0 Aperture

The lens features a T3.0 maximum aperture, providing consistent light transmission throughout the zoom range. The aperture can be adjusted from T3.0 to T22, giving filmmakers flexibility over exposure and depth-of-field control.

High-Resolution Optical Performance

DJI designed the lens to deliver high resolution from the centre to the edges of the frame and to meet the imaging requirements of high-resolution cinema sensors, including 8K sensors. The optical design consists of 13 elements in 11 groups.

Built-In Servo Zoom Motor

The integrated servo zoom motor allows powered zooming without requiring an external zoom motor. This keeps the setup more compact and simplifies operation on compatible DJI cinema camera systems.

Zoom Without Rebalancing

One of the major advantages for Ronin 4D users is the lens's internal zoom design. The lens tube moves within approximately 5mm during zooming, so the camera does not require rebalancing after changing focal length. This is particularly useful when shooting continuously on a gimbal.

Calibration-Free Focusing

The lens is designed to provide accurate focusing without requiring traditional lens calibration after installation on compatible DJI systems. This helps streamline setup and allows filmmakers to get ready for shooting more quickly.

Close-Focus Capability

The lens offers a minimum object distance of 0.19m at 17mm and 0.26m at 28mm, allowing filmmakers to capture close-up subjects while maintaining a wide perspective.
