Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others are optional, and you choose whether we may use them. This page lists every category we use, the third parties in each, and whether you can decline it.

You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

Strictly necessary — cannot be declined

These make the site function. Without them you cannot sign in, and your basket empties on every page you visit.

• Sign-in and session — set by Supabase, our authentication provider, to keep you signed in and to protect your account from request forgery.
• Cart identifier — a random value that ties your basket to your browser. It is not linked to your identity until you sign in.
• Security — short-lived values used to rate-limit sign-in attempts and checkout submissions.

Payment — cannot be declined

When you pay by card, Paystack's script is loaded from js.paystack.co and sets its own cookies to run the payment securely and to detect fraud.

We are stating plainly that this is not optional, because it would be dishonest to present it as a choice: a payment processor is not optional on a checkout, and a banner that offered to switch it off while loading it anyway would be worse than no banner.

Analytics — you can decline

Google Analytics 4 (property G-954N6ZG294) tells us which pages and products people look at, so we know what to stock and what to fix.

This one is genuinely yours to refuse. Until you accept, we run Google Analytics in a restricted mode in which it stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you or follow you between visits. Accept, and it stores an identifier that lets us count you as one returning visitor rather than several new ones.

Analytics does not run at all on our preview and development environments.

Error monitoring — you can decline

Sentry records diagnostic information when something on the site breaks, so we can find and fix it. A report can include your IP address and the page you were on. Declining means we may not learn about a fault you hit.

What we do not use

• Advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not load any advertising network, and we do not build advertising profiles.
• Social-media tracking pixels. Our links to Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok are ordinary links — they set nothing until you follow them.
• Cookies that we sell or share with data brokers. We do not.

Turning cookies off in your browser

What that does

Most web browsers accept cookies by default, and all of them let you remove or reject cookies in their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary and payment cookies described above will stop you signing in and stop you paying by card, so we do not recommend it.
