Built as the flagship of Canon's EOS R System, the Canon EOS R1 combines high-speed performance, advanced autofocus and professional durability in a full-frame mirrorless body.
Its 24.2MP back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor provides rapid sensor readout designed to reduce rolling-shutter distortion while supporting high-speed still photography and advanced video recording. The sensor works with Canon's DIGIC X image processor and DIGIC Accelerator co-processor to handle large volumes of image data at high speed.
For fast-moving subjects, the EOS R1 can shoot at up to 40 frames per second using its electronic shutter, making it particularly suited to sports, wildlife and action photography. Its advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF system also supports Canon's cross-type autofocus technology and subject detection for people, animals and vehicles.
