2014 Apple iMac 27″ 3.5GHz, (8GB/1TB) – Core i5

The iMac “Core i5″ 3.5 27” Aluminum (Late 2014/Retina 5K) features a 22nm “Haswell” Quad Core 3.5GHz Intel Core i5 (4690) processor with 4 independent processor cores on a single chip, a 6MB shared level 3 cache, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 (PC3-12800), a 1TB Fusion Drive (1TB hard drive and 128GB SSD) and an AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics processor with 2GB dedicated GDDR5 memory. It also features a built-in “FaceTime HD webcam and stereo speaker. This model has a 27-inch IPS screen with LED backlight in 16:9 widescreen format (5120 x 2880), which Apple refers to as “Retina 5K”. The back of the case is made of aluminum, is thicker in the middle, and tapers towards the edges to a wafer-thin 5 mm. Connectivity options include four USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n backward compatible), and Bluetooth 4.0. Compared to the previously introduced Late 2013 models, this model has essentially the same external enclosure, but it features a significantly higher resolution display as well as a slightly faster processor, a more powerful graphics processor, a standard Fusion Drive, and Thunderbolt 2 support.
